Fireside Chat - Baking, Hospitality & Entrepreneurship

Our Fireside Chat last week was presented by Allison Carlson, owner and operator of Sweet Petite Treats.

From Allison: I am the owner and operator of a home based bakery with a focus on intricate detailed sugar cookies. I have been baking off and on for over a decade with this being my full time job for the last 4 years. I have a degree in Kinesiology however discovered my passion for baking and working with new people regularly shortly after college. I started my work career at Islands Restaurant and I was there for nearly 20 years. I also love helping couples with their weddings or special occasions to really make it special. I have been featured in wedding magazines and online forums. Several local businesses use me for their corporate events.

Allison shared her enthusiasm and passion with students, and provided valuable insights about baking, hospitality and entrepreneurship she has learned by hard work and experience through the years. Thank you so much to Allison! And, thank you to Breanna Vanini for providing a veggie chili dinner!
