Fireside Chat - Julie Green, RN

In our Fireside Chats, members of the community engage and educate students about a variety of professions and careers, in a comfortable, small group setting. This week our chat was led by Julie Green, RN, who shared many of the challenges and rewards she has experienced in 27 years as a nurse, with 25 years in the NICU/special care baby unit. Julie talked about obstacles she overcame to get into her nursing program, and the opportunities and job security of the nursing profession. She discussed the role of nurses in the well being of others, emphasized the importance of mental health, and identified three important factors that contribute to good mental health: sleep, exercise and nutrition. Thank you Julie!
