Life Skills - Personal Wellness and Job Readiness

Early September began our new round of our Life Skills classes, with a focus on job readiness and personal wellness overview. As our students are required to work part-time, our Job Readiness instructors Janet Anderson and Gordon Hanscomb went over students' resumes, taught important interview skills, and closed with a mock interview. The Personal Wellness instructor, Cindy Brown provided an overview of topics that will be addressed in more depth throughout the semester including mental wellness, coping skills, exercise and nutrition, balancing school, work, socializing, organization and cleanliness, rest and sleep. And, a huge shout out to Chick-fil-A for generously donating dinner for the students at the wellness class!
