Life Skills - Social Etiquette in the Workplace

Our Life Skills Employment series focuses on all aspects of obtaining, keeping, and strategies to effectively perform the duties of any given employment opportunity.

This week, volunteer Merry Neitlich from EM Consulting worked with our students on social etiquette and effective communication in the workplace. This session focused on posture, facial expressions, positive body language, voice tone, projection, and how you say something, rather than just what you say. Merry engaged students to identify what job related topics were important to them. She also had students practice and understand the social etiquette concepts, emphasizing these skills are essential for interviews and building strong workplace relationships.

Thank you to Merry for her time and expertise, and for providing our students with additional tools to choose from in their Life Skills toolbox!
