Robyne’s Landing Dedication & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Our Robyne’s Landing Student Transitional House renovation and expansion project has come to fruition, and was dedicated last week! This transformed house will now become a safe and stable home for many of our local high school students who are alcohol and drug free and have little to no parental support, though want to be in school and earn their high school diplomas. Our Robyne’s Nest mission is to provide these local homeless high school students with the resources and support they need to complete high school and pursue a path to self-sufficiency.
From our Director, Robyne Wood: We are thrilled to have completed the first TAY safe housing project for high school students in the area! A HUGE thank you to the community who has believed in us and our mission to help our young people and supported it financially to get us here. Thank you to HomeAid Orange County & Boyes Construction for their time, talents and other support to make this vision a reality. Thank you to all the contractors and businesses who donated time and/or materials to this project. Thank you Kiwanis Club of Fountain Valley & Fountain Valley Womans Club for a delicious breakfast and general help. A huge shout out to the following for their time down to the final hours: Huntington Beach Elks Lodge #1959 Motorcycle Club (especially Dan & Dave), Michele McIntyre Design, Linda Clause Kannow & Elisabeth Medina Hassanzadeh. Thank you James Pike for your continued blessings over this home! Thank you to various City of Huntington Beach - Government departments and staff who helped us get to this point efficiently and swiftly. It really does take a village to Break Cycles & Change Lives!
