Student Essentials

Along with supporting students who are abandoned, kicked-out or neglected by their parents, Robyne’s Nest also helps many students whose parents are simply unable to provide for them. One way we do this is by providing essentials for these teens - items needed for a productive day…week…year...life.

Over winter break, with the generosity of a local donor, we delivered a bed with linens, a desk and a chair for a student in need who lives with a parent in a very meager setting, and had been sleeping on the floor (photos taken at donor’s home).

Though it seems so basic to most of us, for this student to have a comfortable bed for a good night’s sleep, and a chair and desk with space to do homework was far from reality until a couple of weeks ago. At Robyne’s Nest we believe we have the opportunity and responsibility, as a community, to take care of these students and not leave them behind. We need to give them the support they need for the opportunity to break their cycles and change their lives.
