Student Event - Bolsa Chica Conservancy Wetlands Service Project

Mid-June our students worked on a volunteer service project removing mustard grass from the Bolsa Chica Conservancy wetlands. They learned that this invasive species crowds the space native plants need to grow, as well as being very flammable and a fire hazard when it dies. Students worked hard, got dirty, and enjoyed giving back to the community, along with taking a little time to for a nature walk through the wetlands.

Thank you to our student care coordinator John, volunteers Tricia and Ken, and wetlands interns Lia and Jess for coordinating and assisting with this event!
