Teen Dating Violence can affect any teen, no matter their skin color, foster/non-foster, family income, sexual preference, etc. Teens who have had abuse/trauma, no positive role models at home, or low self-esteem looking for attention are extremely vulnerable to teen dating violence. On the flip side, the abuser has likely been abused or neglected themselves or lived in an environment that exhibited the abuse.
