Volunteer Spotlight - Kay Capel

Robyne’s Nest would not be able change the trajectory of the lives of so many students in our community without the dedication and support of our incredible volunteers. This quarter we are celebrating our wonderful administrative volunteer, Kay Capel!

Kay is married with grown children. She loves to travel, cook, read, spend time with family and to take daily walks with her dog.

From Kay: A friend of mine told me about Robyne’s Nest a few years ago as a great organization that works with local at risk students. When I visited the office, I was so impressed with the extent of services they provided! I thought to myself, “this is the kind of organization I would like to volunteer with when I retire.” After teaching for 34 years, I retired in 2023 and came to Robyne’ Nest in the summer. I help with administrative tasks of inputting donations and sending acknowledgements to all of our generous donors. I also help with procuring online donations for events such as the Chil Cookoff and the 10th Anniversary event coming up.

We are so grateful to Kay for everything she does for Robyne’s Nest in support of our local, vulnerable youth…thank you, Kay!
