Life Skills - Teens and Stress

It is no secret that knowing how to manage stress is beneficial for mental and physical well-being. At-risk and homeless high school students live in unstable environments, such that learning how to cope with life stresses, both proactively and in the moment, is an essential tool in breaking their cycles and becoming self-sufficient. Thank you to our own Dr. Robin for teaching our students straightforward, effective strategies for managing emotions, dealing with stress, and making healthy choices for their overall well-being.

Robyne’s Nest also provides mental health therapy as a large part of a student’s care plan. We provide weekly sessions with licensed therapists whose backgrounds are extensive trauma and abuse in children and teens. Students that have completed their therapy program have experienced a remarkable increase in their self-confidence, improved mindset, and the ability to make choices that are thought out and speak to their overall goals in life.

We could not provide these classes and services to our vulnerable teens without the incredible support of our community, and are profoundly grateful to be a part of this village.
